1) An installation art piece can be used to teach various subjects besides art. One subject it can be used to teach is history. The students making the art piece (or observing an art piece that is already made) can incorporate historical context. If they are making the piece then they can include moments of history or have it symbolize something from history. They can even create the piece so that it follows a certain timeline. This would show that they have learned these concepts from their history class and are able to apply it when creating an art piece. On the other hand, if they are observing the installation art piece and the art has some historical context, they can analyze why the piece was created to symbolize/represent that time period or how it shows that it came from that time period.

2) Nature's art is a wonderful way to learn more about ecology because activities like the photos we did with nature allow students to first-handedly experience nature and see it by actually interacting with it. While students are interacting with the nature, that will call their attention to ecology because they may notice things that are issues for the environment, like perhaps pollution or withering plants, and that may encourage them to want to make a change and pursue environmental issues. They also would notice things that are beautiful and unique about nature and that might encourage them to experience it more and go out into the environment more. It also might lead them to learn more about the different types of plants, trees, and nature that exists.

3) Drawing enhances the learning of language arts because when people draw they are essentially exercising their brain and using their creativity. By drawing, people use a different part of their brain than when they are memorizing vocabulary or doing math problems. This allows for different neural pathways to be formed, and this leads to a more flexible and stronger though process overall. By doing this, it helps students learn the language arts and even more, it helps students with all subjects and creates and overall stronger mind.

4) When making a collage students learn several skills. They learn how to employ their personal creative skills and how to use their imagination to create an art piece by bringing together various different pieces of art. They also learn teamwork. When they are making the collage, they can work in a group of people and they can learn what teamwork style works best for them. For example, some groups may split up the work and have one person search the magazine for photos, another person cut those photos, and another person glue it together. They could also have a less organized teamwork style and all of them cut the art from the magazines together and put it together. It teaches social skills, creativity skills, and also confidence skills because it must be rewarding for kids who are growing to see that they are able to create art and use their imagination and innovative skill set to make a unique and personal collage.
